Liturgical Musician Convention - NPM Chicago 2009

    I hope everyone enjoyed CNMC. I wish I could've been there! I'm preparing for the National Pastoral Musician (NPM - http://www.npm.org) Convention. This year, it is in Chicago. It is a wonderful time for music ministers from all over to enjoy education, fellowship and, most importantly, the celebration of the Eucharist.

    If there are any SQPN listeners or podcasters attending, please look me up and find me there! It's my hope that other Catholic music ministers realize that there are new media opportunities for musicians to help spread God's message.

    I'm starting a hash tag on Twitter #NPM09 for any other "tweeters" out there who attend the convention.

    We're singing tonight at Evening Prayer, but I'm not staying for the conference, as I have to drive the bus full of teenagers back to Mississippi tomorrow. If you come to evening prayer, I'd love to at least say hello. I'm with the St. Richard Youth Choir, but I fear with the expected 3000 attendees to tonight's liturgy that it might be difficult to find me. However, my daughter is the cantor, so if you can get to her after liturgy, you'll find me.
